The Assessment Glow-Up: Five Steps to Track A with AI
Strand 5

Assessment is always a hot topic with colleagues when it comes to AI, and for good reason. As expectations shift toward new assessment requirements for synchronous and asynchronous components, many of us are rethinking not just how we assess, but what assessment is really for.
This interactive workshop offers a fresh way into that conversation. Using our Five Steps to Assessment Resilience framework, you’ll explore what makes assessment vulnerable (or more resilient) in an AI-enabled landscape, and what meaningful synchronous elements can add to student learning.
Rather than starting from scratch, we’ll help you recognise where learning is already happening in your teaching and how that can be shaped into authentic, assessable moments.
You’ll work with practical prompts, examples, and design tools to rethink or refine an assessment from your own module. Whether you’re making small adjustments or considering bigger changes, you’ll leave with a clearer direction and a set of ideas you can take straight back into practice.
Come with an assessment in mind, and get ready to give it a glow-up. CADI
