Key message: Academics and students no longer have direct access to the WISEflow platform. Historic student file submissions remain available through Moodle, while staff can request a download of previous marking through CADI.
WISEflow Access Has Now Ended
The University of Portsmouth has completed the planned sunsetting of WISEflow. As previousy communicated through CADI Connect and other staff communications, the University WISEflow service has moved to an archive-only arrangement and direct access to the WISEflow platform is no longer available to academics or students
This change forms part of the University's wider transition to Moodle-based assessment tools and workflows hosted with cloud supplier Catalyst IT Europe. Following a review of the platform, assessment activity has been migrated to alternative solutions within Moodle, including Moodle Assignments, Turnitin, Moodle Quiz and other supported assessment tools.
For Students: Accessing Previous WISEflow Submissions
Although students can no longer log directly in to WISEflow, they can still access and download copies of their previous assessment submissions through Moodle.
Students are encouraged to download and retain copies of any submissions they may wish to keep for future reference, professional portfolios or evidence of prior learning.
For Academic and Professional Services Staff
Direct access to historic marking, feedback and assessment records within WISEflow is no longer available through the user interface.
Where access to historc assessment information is required for legitimate academic or administrative purposes, CADI can facilitate retrieval requests from the archived service. The WISEflow archive will be preserved for 9 years in-line with OfS and UoP retention policies.
Examples may include:
- Accessing historic marking and feedback records
- Supporting assessment reviews or academic appeals
- Providing information requested by External Examiners
- Retrieving archived assessment evidence
To request access or assistance, please raise a CADI support request.
Please provide as much information as possible in your request, including module codes, assessment names and academic year, to help us process enquiries efficiently.
