CADI has recently been taking its work around AI in education beyond the University, with colleagues connecting with peers across the sector to share ideas, experiences and practical approaches to the opportunities and challenges AI is bringing to higher education.
Becky Holman recently visited Sparsholt University Centre, where she delivered an interactive session exploring learning, teaching and assessment in the context of AI. The session provided an opportunity to share ideas, introduce CADI’s new prompt builder activity and engage in conversations about how AI is changing approaches to teaching, assessment and supporting students.
CADI also delivered an online session for the Southern Universities Network as part of its Expert Speaker Series. This session focused on creating safe spaces for open conversations with students about AI, highlighting the importance of encouraging honest dialogue around how students are using AI tools.
The discussion also explored how staff can develop the confidence and AI literacy needed to have constructive conversations with students about using AI appropriately and responsibly.
Both sessions provided valuable opportunities for CADI to connect with colleagues outside the University and hear different perspectives on the challenges and opportunities AI is creating across higher education.
And, of course, the visit to Sparsholt wouldn’t have been complete without meeting some of the animals along the way!
