The University of Portsmouth has a proud history of success in both the NTFS and CATE. This highlights the outstanding quality of our staff and their commitment to student success. We are now seeking nominations from individual staff and teams who exemplify excellence in teaching and learning. If you believe that you or your team have made significant contributions that have enhanced the student experience, please submit an expression of interest. Staff from academic and professional services are welcome to apply.  This is your chance to gain national recognition for your efforts and join a national community of professionals who are celebrated for their impact on Higher Education.

Expressions of interest must be submitted via our NTF/CATE website by 5pm on Friday 10th October. Following an internal review process, up to three National Teaching Fellowships and one Collaborative Award submission will be selected to represent the University. Successful nominees will receive mentoring support to help refine their applications ahead of the final submission deadline in March 2025.

To assist you in preparing a strong nomination, the Centre for Academic and Digital Innovation (CADI) is hosting a series of online information sessions on 17th September and 22nd September. Please go to Eventbrite to register: -

Achieving a National Teaching Fellowship or a Collaborative Award is not only a prestigious honour recognised within the UK and internationally but is also a gateway to joining a network of educators committed to teaching excellence in Higher Education.  Award winners are celebrated at an exclusive awards ceremony.
