Since March 2025, CADI has facilitated 30 workshops from our initial three generative AI sessions — AI in the Classroom: Foundations and First Steps, Harnessing AI: Enhance Teaching, Empower Learning, and AI and Assessment – Academic Integrity and Innovation — attended by almost 300 colleagues. We have also run 20 bespoke workshops, supporting nearly 500 colleagues to build confidence and make meaningful use of AI in their teaching.
Colleagues have reported clear, practical impact. One attendee noted that a group activity “produced a great suggestion for a workshop I’m running,” while another now plans to “bring AI into seminar sessions as an icebreaker and into assessments.” Others shared that they “no longer feel overwhelmed” and can now “use AI tools more efficiently in preparation and teaching.” Many have begun “adapting assessments to be more resilient to AI,” “using prompts to explore the limitations of LLMs” and feeling more confident discussing academic integrity and AI with students.
Our programme continues to evolve, with two new sessions in development, including From Outputs to Insight: Building Ethical and Critical AI Practice, launching in early 2026. We also continue to invite colleagues to share examples of AI in learning and teaching to build our institutional repository of practice.
