The decision has been made to limit Wiseflow’s rollout in 2025/26 to specific assessment scenarios.
The following assessment scenarios are well supported with Wiseflow. The platform offers key functionality to support the effective delivery of these assessments.
- Double-blind marking of final-year projects
- Reflective portfolios
- Large file submissions (up to 5Gb)
The reduction in scope for 2025/26 will allow development time for essential additional functionality in Wiseflow to support University of Portsmouth students and staff.

An updated version of the Master Module Spreadsheet will be available after 5 September for staff to provide essential information about their summative assessments to ensure effective support from CADI and Academic Services staff. The spreadsheet will offer an Assessment Suggestion based on the type of assessment artefact students will be submitting. The logic behind this suggestion will be adjusted to reflect the reduced scope of the Wiseflow rollout in 2025/26. Academic staff will continue to be free to request a Turnitin or Moodle assignment if either tool fits their assessment scenario well. Staff will be able to create their own assessments and identify this intention on the MMS.
