This is the Master Module Spreadsheet for SAH. Please bookmark this critical document for future reference, as we will use it throughout the year.
The Master Module Spreadsheet (MMS) must be completed to provide Academic Services and CADI with the necessary details of expected assessments. We rely on these details being complete and accurate for our critical function throughout the year, so please complete all columns as appropriate. Many columns are dropdown boxes for ease/speed and some details have been pre-filled for you.
This support document will help answer common questions about completing the Master Module Spreadsheet (MMS).
The deadline for this is Monday 30th September so we can start work on January assessments for CTU’s October deadline.
It is important that Module Coordinators complete the 2 actions below within the Master Module Spreadsheet for all modules you coordinate:
1) Check the existing details are correct (columns A-N).
The existing data is a direct export from SITS and should also reflect what is listed on the Course & Module Catalogue. Please add a comment against any information that is incorrect with the relevant details and the Deputy Managers from the Faculty Administration Service Centre will update the spreadsheet for you.
2) Complete columns O-AB (orange headed columns) with specific assessment details.
Any queries around these columns please contact cadi-digital@port.ac.uk.
If a submission date is not known (e.g. for exams), please add the expected time period so we have an idea. If you’re not sure which to pick please contact your Faculty Administration Service Centre Manager, Imogen Jeffery.
Some points to note:
- If some details aren’t currently known, please add details once it’s clear. Likewise, please update it if details change.
- If extra rows are needed to cover multiple due dates (e.g split assessments, formative), add details to the ‘Other Notes and Context’ and extra lines will be added for you
- EC and Mark Return deadlines auto-calculate in columns AC-AE for you if an assessment deadline is added (column AB). This will factor in university closure dates and weekends.
- ‘Duplicate’ modules may appear: these are old versions of the module on a different instance, e.g. if it used to be year long and is now TB1 only. If you see them, please note in the comments column which one can be closed.
If you’re not sure how or what to complete and want to run through it with someone please contact the Deputy Centre Managers, Rachel Green and Melissa Howells.
