We will be upgrading our CPD Moodle site to Moodle 4.5 between 17-21st November. The site will be unavailable to staff and students during this time.
Our CPD Moodle site is mainly used to support pre-sessional students and assessments during the summer months whilst our regular Moodle site is being upgraded. The site also allows for support of pre-registered students who may not become full UoP students. These are students which can’t be supported on our regular Moodle site for security reasons.
This upgrade is essential for the ongoing operation of the site owing to the age of the current version.
A number of plugins must be decommissioned as part of the upgrade as these plugins no longer work in Moodle 4.5. Most of the plugins listed have not been used extensively on the site.

- Course Merchant integration to purchase courses online
- Webex
- Accessibility block
- All-or-nothing question type (1000 questions used historically, the question type is no longer supported in Moodle 4.5)
- Adaptive multi-part question behaviour
- TinyMCE editor Panopto button
The removal of these plugins is essential to ensure the site can be upgraded to Moodle 4.5. No significant issues are anticipated by removing the plugins. All-or-nothing questions will need to be reauthored using another question type in advance of any pre-sessional assessment activities in the future.
