Shaun Searle

Digital Team Leader

Shaun is the Digital Team leader. He leads the team of Senior and Digital Learning Developers within Cadi-Digital to ensure the key priorities of the Digital Success Plan are implemented across the university. It is the central escalation point for all staff and student queries requiring expertise on Moodle and its integrated systems. This also includes all assessment systems and Exams on campus and at a distance. 

He also leads on Content Capture and the administration of Panopto at the university. His expertise in this area has resulted in the platform being successfully rolled out across the institution and his creation of the University's supporting website and guidance has resulted in a quarter of a million videos being created. He often delves beyond using the mechanics of using the system into the world of analytics, innovation and student submission using video at faculty and institutional level. He has been invited to present papers on the subject both locally and at international universities and is always looking to further his research and findings in this area.

Shaun previously taught and held senior leader roles for 10 years in schools across Portsmouth and Hampshire, following the completion of his Education degree in Birmingham. He has a keen passion for technology and its relationship with pedagogy and loves that his role enables him to explore this further.
