Maria Hutchinson
Senior Lecturer in Learning Design
Maria is a Senior Lecturer in Learning Design and leads on creative, team- and evidence-based approaches to Learning Design and pedagogic innovation. She supports teams in achieving teaching excellence from conceptualisation, design, teaching practice and evaluation.
Maria leads CADI’s Learning Design team to enable academic and services teams of staff across all disciplines to (re)design courses and modules through facilitating enABLe workshops (UoP's team-based approach to curriculum design). She also leads wider enABLe activities, including capacity building initiatives in Learning Design, such as training and development of new enABLe facilitators.
As a Senior Fellow of the HEA, Maria supports colleagues’ personal and professional development through mentoring and review activities on the APEX programme for both written and professional conversation routes to Fellowship. She also supports staff development by leading on the design, development, approval and delivery of credit-bearing modules such as “Teach Well: Principles to Practice”.
Maria is a Senior Fellow of the HEA, has a MSc in Applied AI and Data Science, a PgCert in Learning and facilitates Lego Serious Play.
