Jamie Meekins

Learning Designer 


Jamie is an experienced and passionate educationalist who previously taught in FE and secondary education. With a PGCE in Post Compulsory Education, DTTLS and also has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in Media Production. 

He has worked across the University first in the faculty of Business and Law as a Learning Technologist contributing his knowledge of creating successful interactive/video learning artefacts and innovative module/Moodle design. Since 2022, Jamie has been working as a part of the London campus project, starting out as a Learning Technologist and progressing to a Learning Designer. He has made a significant impact within the London Campus by taking the learning and teaching approach through from ideation to an operational teaching institution. Namely around the purposeful adoption of block teaching using enABLe and supporting effective assessment redesign. He has also implemented the use of new learning systems like MS365 and Wiseflow which have become an integral part of the teaching that happens at the London Campus. 

Jamie has an invested interest in the constant improvement of the student experience. His current research is on how block teaching can affect the whole student and staff experience and the creative adoption of technology in learning. Supporting fellow passionate educators and creating new exciting learning experiences is what drives him.
